日本館的設計理念為“像生命體一樣會(huì )呼吸的建筑”，展館各個(gè)部分都融入了與環(huán)境共生的智慧與技術(shù)。建筑物的外側覆蓋可透光的膜材料，利用太陽(yáng)能發(fā)電，場(chǎng)館外觀(guān)還會(huì )隨著(zhù)陽(yáng)光與夜景照明的變化變換各種“表情”。
主題：“心之和、技之和”
造型亮點(diǎn)：分為過(guò)去、現在、未來(lái)3大展區，形態(tài)融合了日本傳統特色與現代風(fēng)格。
